- TMTori MillerMay 2, 20265.0My partner and I stopped for the first time at The Railway and what a revelation. A warm welcome and lovely interior awaited us. Having driven passed many times it was an absolute pleasure to stay for dinner. We ordered the bacon and cheeseburger and steak and ale pie. The food was timely to the table after ordering. I had food envy as the burger looked great. My partner saying it was really tasty and. Good portion size. I had the steak pie. Again very appetising pastry was light. Filling was hot. Mash was smooth and buttery. Again hearty portion size. Because mains were so good we opted for desserts that again did not disappoint. Sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate brownie. I think the sticky toffee pudding just pipped the brownie at the post. But still both delicious. I highly recommend for others to go and try it out we shall certainly not be strangers. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Pub grub done very well. Beer was fresh and tasted great and the Sauvignon Blanc was just the ticket. The service was friendly and welcoming. What more could you want on a Saturday evening. Many thanks for a job done well.

Huge portions and cooked to perfection. If you want a lovely atmosphere and cracking food with a huge selection of drinks, this is the place to be.
- DFDavid FramptonApr 16, 20265.0This is our favourite place to eat - service is quick, the food is first class and it is reasonably priced. Today I wanted mustard and the landlord popped to the shop and came back with it in 3 minutes. I especially recommend Sunday lunch with oodles of fresh veg.
